Nigerian chef, Hilda Bassey Effiong, popularly known as Hilda Baci, has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest cooking hours
Hilda earlier surpassed the previous record set by Lata Tondon, an Indian chef, in 2019
Lata Tondon cooked for 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds to break the previous title


A video shows the epic moment Hilda Baci, the rave of the moment turned off her gas after cooking for over 100 hours.

The determined lady from Akwa Ibom state broke the record of 87 hours, 40 minutes, after cooking for 100 hours and 40 minutes.

Nigerians who were still at the venue to cheer her up sang the National anthem while she stood at attention.

The cook-a-thon has finally come to an end leaving Hilda’s name in the mouth of everyone. Hilda’s win is a big win for all Nigerians and Africa as a whole.

Assault: PSC demands Seun Kuti’s immediate prosecution as deterrent

Nigeria not Hobbesian state where might is right – Arase The Police Service Commission has demanded the immediate prosecution of Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, over alleged assault on a police officer on the Third Mainland bridge in Lagos State on Saturday. The PSC Chairman, Dr Solomon Arase, a retired Inspector-General of Police, said Ṣeun’s arraignment would serve as a deterrent to other citizens, adding that no one has the right to assault a policeman in uniform and on official duty, no matter the offence committed by a police officer.
